Oolong from Pinglin Taiwan plucked and processed in the spring of 1989 and aged beautifully since then. Notes of pipe tobacco, plum, and raisin combine for an amazing flavor that only comes from naturally aging. We were excited to find this tea on our tea-sourcing trip to Taiwan in the spring of 2017. Through a friend, we were introduced to a family that have had their teashop since the '40's and have an incredible collection of teas – many of them aged oolongs. They showed us great hospitality and we are thrilled to be carrying their amazing Aged Baozhong.

Brewing Guidelines

Gaiwan/Yixing: fill 1/4 full with dry leaf. 190°-200° water. Rinse leaves. Steep for 30 seconds for the first 3 infusions. Add an additional 30 seconds for each additional infusion.

Teapot/mug: 1 tablespoon of dry leaf per 8oz of water. 190° water. 1st and 2nd infusion steep for 3 minutes. 5 minutes for each additional infusion.
